We had the privilege to sit down with David, a passionate yogi whose journey into yoga is as diverse as it is inspiring. From his roots in France to his current home in Australia, David shares his insights into his unique style and the motivations that drive his practice.


David’s Yoga Journey

David’s journey into yoga began against the backdrop of his athletic upbringing in France. From high-level soccer to practicing mixed martial arts, David's early years were steeped in physical activity. However, it was upon arriving in Australia that he discovered his true calling in yoga. Embracing the daily practice not just as a physical challenge but as a pathway to spiritual integration, David found himself drawn into its transformative power. With a meditation practice dating back to the tender age of 7, David seamlessly merges his love for unique movement with mindfulness, creating a holistic approach to his practice.


Inspired by Martial Arts and Dance 

Inspired by his profound passion for both Martial Arts and Yoga, David's classes are a vibrant tapestry of dynamism and creativity. Infused with energy and a sense of playfulness, his teachings not only challenge but also uplift. David's classes offer more than just physical exertion; they provide a platform for exploration and fun. With influences from luminaries such as Budokon founder Cameron Shayne, and international yogis like Shiva Rea, Maty Ezraty, and Simon Park, David's classes promise an experience that extends beyond the boundaries of the yoga mat.


David’s Personal Practice

For David, each day begins with a ritual of breathwork and meditation, setting the tone for a day filled with movement and mindfulness. From invigorating movement training to a fluid yoga practice, his routine culminates in a soothing yin restorative session. It’s this disciplined approach that keeps David grounded and motivated, allowing him to continually explore the depths of his practice.
